Cupcake Tall

Viticulturist: Juan Esteban Arteaga

About 480 kilometers south of Santiago and only 20 km from the Pacific Ocean in the commune of Coelemu, a coastal dryland, is the town of Magdalena Alto, a place surrounded by small hills upholstered by old vines planted on bare foot with a system of conduction in head, that count only on the rains for their hydration without any irrigation system; obtaining wines of great acidity thanks to its coastal Mediterranean climate.

With clayey soils and at an altitude of about 300 meters, the Magdalena Alto sector produces our excellent exponents of the Moscatel de Alejandría and Cinsault varieties.

The Moscatel de Alejandría and Cinsault vineyards date from around 50 to 80 years old, being one of the heritage vineyards in the Itata Valley, which produce about 4,000 kilograms per hectare in the case of the first vine and 6,000 in the case of the second, allowing us to obtain a higher concentration of extracts and aromas in our wines.

OLD CHILLAN

Larqui Maule – La Esperanza Vineyard

Winegrowers: Heinrich Männle and Javier Gonzalez

Ancestral vineyards that date back more than 100 years, where the Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Pinot Noir and País strains are established. This vineyard was fertilized on a remote farm in Santa Cruz de Larqui, located in the commune of Chillan Viejo but very close to the communal border with Bulnes, in the heart of the Itata Valley, Ñuble Region, Chile.

A few meters from the Larqui River, its origin comes from gentle hills that are discovered among silty soils that were sculpted in a perfect composition of clay and traces of volcanic origins.

Where the wind, added to the summer heat that hovers between 33° (day) and 15° (night), makes a fantastic journey through every corner of the vineyard, favoring its aeration and strengthening its ancient roots. A synergistic work, fruit of the intentionality of man and the benefits of nature.
